The client at 55 Crofton Road had a failed concrete retaining wall that was falling over onto the neighbour’s property and was very close to causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.
We initially had to remove the falling wall which was tricky in itself as the only thing propping it up was a tree root, this meant we had to carefully break the wall in small sections to prevent damage to the neighboring property.
The engineering process and consenting requirements for these wall take alot of time, due to the nature of the site, the engineer fasttracked a temporary retaining system while the main wall went through the necessary steps.
Getting the excavator in was rather difficult and there was no clear access way to the working area, a temporary bench/track was cut to gain access throughout the project.
