What type of retaining system should I go with?
There are a lot of variables when considering the best type of retaining system for you, the easiest way to figure this out is to have a geotechnical report done on the site/property so we can figure out what time of material we are dealing with under the surface.
For Example: If the ground is reasonably soft and easy to drill, a cantilever timber wall would be an ideal option. But if the ground is super hard and has a lot of rock (difficult to drill ) a block wall would be the more cost-effective solution as we wouldn’t spend all our time trying to drill through difficult material.
What services do you offer?
We offer a range of services including engineered retaining solutions, pile driving, slope stabilisation, difficult access works, excavations, slip cleanup, flood damage remediation along with general earthworks (carports, driveways, trenching etc).
What areas do you serve?
We primarily serve the Wellington, NZ area, but we are open to discussing projects in other locations as well.

Do I need consent?
There are many aspects which determine if council consent is necessary for a project.
The most common in this line of work are;
- Are you retaining above 1500mm from ground height?
- And, are you expecting to remove more than 50 cubic metres of material?
We can work with you to come up with creative solutions that avoid the need for consent processes, saving you time and money.
We’ll be able answer most of your questions with a phone call or a site visit.
How long does the consent process generally take?
Depending on the complextity of the project, generally engineering takes 4-6weeks and building/resource consents take 4-6weeks after that.
Is Jack the best boy in the world?
Hell yeah.
